Our Story

Five years ago at Christmas I was struck by how close we have come to secularizing Christmas. One cannot have a nativity scene at schools, or sing songs in the public forum mentioning Jesus. At the local schools, Christmas break is now called winter break, thus severing all ties to the true meaning of Christmas.

I was driving in my car one day and heard on the radio about ornaments with the names of God on them. I thought "WOW" that was something I would love to put on my Christmas tree.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed by what the stores offered. It seemed the only way to honor the vision in my mind, was to make my own. Heavenly Ornaments was born.

Our Ornaments

Early efforts were marked by trial, error, and sometimes failure. Often, the failures were a matter of taste. For example, I couldn't bring myself to write the names of God in black. It just didn't seem very Heavenly.

After four months, my first true success came. The names of God are printed in rich, gold calligraphy, with Hebrew on the front and English meanings on the back.

I experimented with different prefabricated colored ornaments, but again my feeling was that they needed to be Heavenly. So our first ornaments were hand painted in one of three rich colors, each swirled with shimmering gold.

After the first Christmas in business, listening to feedback, the largest complaint we received was price concerns.

After much thought and prayer we launched our new 'Heavenly Style' ornaments for Christmas 2004. Feedback thus far has been wonderful! They are not only lovely, but we were able to add White to our list of colors available.

We also introduced our first Commemorative Ornament for the year 2004, in Heavenly Style white, "Adonai 2004 - The Lord and Master".

Christmas 2005 brought more changes when we phased out our hand painted ornaments after finding it impossible to keep up with demand. You can still call for replacements at 425-765-5171. We offered our Commemorative Ornament for Christmas 2005 "El Shaddai 2005 - Almighty God"

Christmas 2006 brought still more changes. We changed our packaging to contain a plastic tray to secure the ornaments better and reduce any breakage. 
In 2006 we were proud to present our first set of six in our new "Names of Christ" line. We offered this very special set in white and our new color of purple. This very special set of six was a huge success! We continued our line of Commemorative ornaments with "Elohim 2006 - The Creator", in heavenly style white.

Christmas 2007! We had a few exciting changes to tell you about.
We added to our Names of Christ line. We now have four packages of six! Twenty-Four names of Christ for your Christmas tree. You can purchase these individually for $5.00, any of the four packages of six for $17.00 and for the best savings $60.00 for the whole set of twenty-four.
We offered our commemorative ornament "El Elyon 2007 - The God Most High" in white with gold calligraphy.
We have discontinued a few of our colors in our Names of God sets. We are no longer offering sets in green, red/green and purple. If you need replacements call Joni at 425-765-5171 (We might have a few of the older colored sets available).

Merry Christmas 2008! Many more changes to tell you about. We have completely retooled our website and are excited to now offer coupons for savings to our returning customers as well as new website tools such as being able to ship to multiple recipients.
This year we are offering our "2008 El Roi - The God Who Sees" Commemorative Ornament, in white emblazoned with gold calligraphy.

In 2009 we will be going through some design changes to make everything more uniform, so check in often.
